Advice For Your Next Convention
by Gary Conner
When you're getting ready to attend your next convention, go to your local office supply store and purchase a 1 inch thick three ring notebook. Place all your pre-convention materials in the notebook, including your registration information.
When you're at the convention place all your notes from the different sessions in your notebook. Always place your favorite sessions in the front of the notebook. Keep one blank page in the front of the notebook to write down your "ACTION ITEMS". Action Items are the things that you are committing do when you get home. At the end of the convention, number all these items in order of importance and then, just do it !
This is a great way to maximize the benefits of any convention and keep track of all the information that you get in order of importance for you. With this system it's easy to review the things that you've learned at your convention.

Advice For Your Next Convention
by Dale Collie
1. Prepare a list of personal goals you want to accomplish while at the convention. My goals for the Dallas convention were to have one-on-one time with experts in: topic selection, positioning, branding, humor.
2. Make appointments prior to convention or agree to meet at a designated time to establish a schedule. Many of those you want to meet with will be uncertain about their schedule until they arrive and see how the convention is proceeding.
3. Be sure to review web sites and literature that is available on the experts with whom you will meet. If you encounter someone at the convention for an unscheduled meeting, get access to a computer and check out their sites. You'll learn a lot and they'll be impressed. Your meeting will be even more productive.
Speakers Tip #4 :
Advice For Your Next Presentation
by Silvana Clark
As a speaker. I use many activities where audience members are using props, wearing signs or role-playing. I always take several pictures of the activities which I then mail to the meeting planner several weeks later. It's a great way to say in touch, and they frequently use the pictures in their company newsletter. Sometimes meeting planners are so busy they don't see my entire session. By sending the pictures, they see their members smiling and having fun...which reflects positively on my presentation.
